SALISBURY, Md. - One NFL star used his popularity for a good cause today, to help our local kids. Houston Texan, Ben Tate, hosted the "BTExperience Event" at Salisbury University Saturday afternoon.
Tate is a local, born and raised in Snow Hill, MD.
The football camp was free for kids, and included former coaches, as well as Tate's NFL colleagues and friends.
"I know when I was that age," remembers Houston Texans wide receiver, Lestar Jean, who helped out at the football camp. "I wanted a pro to come and show me, you know, how to run a forward or how to run routes, how to catch a ball and stuff like that."
After the football camp there was a celebrity basketball game, complete with a 3-point shootout and slam dunk contest.
