Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Author Hits The Shore

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Jeff Kinney - children's author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and executive producer of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie is in town!

It's your chance to meet him, take a picture with him and get your favorite book autographed! Jeff will give a presentation before the book signing - and there's limited seating, so be sure to get there early.

WMDT got a chance to interview Jeff via Skype to talk about where he gets his inspiration from. "I get a lot of my ideas from my imagination - some of them from my childhood, some of them from my kids' childhoods which I'm getting to witness first hand. It's great because a lot of the stories kind of came from my frame of reference of being a kid in Maryland," said Kinney.

Jeff's presentation starts at 11 AM, and the book signing starts at noon. It all takes place at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge.
