UPDATE: Downed Plane In Delmar Off Rt. 54

DELMAR, Del. - Authorities are currently on scene of a downed plane in Delmar, DE. Delaware State Police report that a little before 1 PM today, a small single engine plane, landed in a field off of Route 54.

They say that the plane was taxiing forward when it flipped over before coming to a stop. The pilot was the only one on board and was not injured in the accident. Authorities say that there was no fuel spill, and that the WWII era plane was flying in from the West Coast.

DSP says that The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating this incident.
