FREDERICA, Del. - Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Frederica. Delaware State Police report that they got a call early Friday morning about a motorcycle light off the side of the roadway.
An investigation showed that Rudy Rouse, 46, of Milton, was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Andrews Lake Road, approaching a sharp curve. Police say that he hit the break, and skid over 150 feet before going over the edge of the road and hitting a tree. Rouse was reportedly not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Andrews Lake Road was closed between Robbins and McGinnis Pond Roads for tow and a half hours, but has since reopened. The investigation into this case is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or text DSP to CRIMES (274637).
