SALISBURY, Md. - Daisey Virginia Hales Ruark, 91, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, June 3rd, 2012 surrounded by her family at the Wicomico Nursing Home. Born in Worcester County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Paul Hales, Sr. and Virgie Fooks Hales. She worked for Shad Landing State Park and Worcester County Forestry Department. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She deeply loved her family, people and her flowers.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia A. Fisher (Wilson) of Bivalve and Virginia Blackiston (Fred) of Salisbury; 2 son's, Ralph Ruark of Cumberland and David O. Ruark (Krista) of Wales, England; 4 grandchildren, Danny Fisher, Chad Blackiston, Jesse Ruark and Jaime Ruark; 3 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Blevins (Quincy) of Nanticoke and other extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Purnell Ruark; 5 siblings, Marion Hales, Thomas Paul Hales, Jr., Albert Hales, Eva Brown and Pauline Hoover.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Church Cemetery near Snow Hill. Rev. Ronald McLeod will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, PA, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
