27th Annual Torch Run

SALISBURY, Md. - Representing multiple law enforcement agencies from Wicomico county, officers took part in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run relay. This annual torch run began at the Guerrieri Center at Salisbury University, and ended at the Salisbury Police station. Torch Runners were greeted at Pinehurst Elementary, where students cheered on the runners. This marks the 27th year of the torch run relay.

Captain Paul Simon, of Salisbury PD says, "We do it because we're supporting a group that's less fortunate than us, and we try to give back to the community, and its also a great opportunity for all law enforcement agencies in the county to all get together and do something fun do something special. Give back little bit."

The torch run will continue through Cambridge and Easton, and it will make its way to Towson University for the start of the games on Friday.
