Operation We Care Collecting Donations

SALISBURY, Md. - Operation We Care was out collecting donations on Thursday.

They were set up outside the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. Hundreds came out for the Dierks Bentley concert. And before they went in - they dropped off items to send to our troops serving overseas. They also wrote heartfelt messages for them on Harley Davidson flags.

"Well they can be something as simple as saying thank you and signing their name or they write a message- a lot of people who sign these flags have been deployed know what it's like so they create a special message that means something when it gets to the other end," said Jeff Merritt from Operation We Care. The organization is planning to send out the care packages - just in time for Armed Forces Day.
