OCEAN CITY, Md. - A seat belt check point leads to three arrests in Ocean City. Ocean City Police report that they stopped a vehicle for having four adult occupants and a one-year-old infant not wearing seat belts.
Authorities say that the officer saw a small amount of marijuana in the front seat cup holder, and one of the passengers in the back rolling a marijuana cigarette. Officers say they then searched the vehicle where they found a backpack with 53 individual bags of heroin and a .32 caliber handgun, with the serial number scratched off.
Three arrests were made. Marcus Neal, 19, of New Castle, DE was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a handgun, and other related charges. Neal was held at the Worcester County Jail.
Jamil Mills, 21, of Wilmington, DE was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and held at the Worcester County Jail.
Raheem Cephas, 22, of Wilmington, DE, was charged with two counts of possession of marijuana and released.
