Maryland Man Claims His $250,000 Mega Millions Prize

BALTIMORE, Md. - A Maryland man has claimed his portion of the Mega Millions jackpot. Almost two months ago when the winning numbers were called the 63-year-old man knew that he hadn't won the big one, and he stored his tickets away to check on them later.

Then last week he saw a report that said that there were still three unclaimed second tier prizes, including one that had been bought at the same place he bought his ticket. He went on-line checked his numbers and found out that he could claim $250,000! The winner, who wants to remain anonymous intends to use the money for healthcare costs and to pay off debt.

There are still two second-tier prizes that are unclaimed in Maryland, one was sold in Bel Air, one in Timonium.
