Florida. official to become Ocean City manager

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - The Ocean City Town Council is expected to approve a contract with a Florida official to become its new city manager.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports that Fort Pierce, Florida. City Manager David Recor signed a contract with the town to start June 11. 

The council will officially approve the contract on Tuesday. The town will pay Recor $147,000 his first year. His contract will be reviewed annually.

Dennis Dare resigned as city manager in September. Mayor Rick Meehan has served as interim city manager since then.
