REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Learn about the stars while lounging on the beach in Rehoboth. On May 20th at 8:30PM the Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum will host a new program that will teach participants about how to navigate around the night sky, while identifying constellations, some well known and some not-so-well known. Participants will also learn about the ancient legends and stories behind some of the constellations.
The program is $5 and pre-registration is required. Leave your flashlights at home but bring a blanket and pillow to enjoy this program laying down in the sand. If the sky is cloudy the program will be moved inside and an interactive Stellarium will be used to view the night sky and identify the constellations.
The Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum is located inside the Delaware Seashore State Park in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. For more information, or to register for this program, please call the Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum at 302-227-6991.
