Alvera Delores Kearse - WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's Choice

GRASONVILLE, Md. - Alvera Delores "Vera" Kearse was born July 23, 1960, daughter of Barbara and the late Elijah Kearse in Philadelphia, PA. She entered into Heavenly rest on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Vera was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System and Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland where she studied Accounting. In 1985, Vera met her soul mate, Lamont. While living in Philadelphia, Vera worked as a Home Care Aide for elderly persons and she worked numerous jobs within the vicinity of her home in Maryland until her health failed her. Vera was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, a loving companion and a caring sister. She was a hard worker and enjoyed life to the fullest especially with family and friends. Vera made a personal effect on the many people she came in contact with and never forgetting anyone.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her soul mate of 27 years, Lamont V. Pollard Sr.; three sons, Lamont V. Pollard Jr. ( April Gioffre), William D. Kearse and Frederick E. Kearse (who preceded her in death); her mother, Barbara Kearse; three sisters, Jackie Kearse, Angela King and Karen Kearse; one brother, Elijah Kearse; five aunts; five uncles; a dear cousin who was like a sister, Vernadette Tolson; good friends, Dawn Brown, Madison Mclean, Joseph Lanfranchi, Travis Butler and Tiggist and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 1pm at Union Wesley UM Church Chester, MD with a viewing two hours prior to the service. Interment in the church cemetery.
