POCOMOKE, Md. - Dorothy Webb Taylor, 82, of Pocomoke and formerly of Hallwood. Va., passed away at Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke on Tuesday April 10, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Sidney H. Webb and Mable Parker Webb of New Church, Va. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Eastern Stars and Union United Methodist Church in Greenbackville, Va.

Her survivors include her husband, Alvin Taylor of Pocomoke, and her children, Bonnie M. Trower of Eastville, Va., Patsy M. Bell and husband Bob of Berlin, Harry L. Wessells III and wife Sue of Atlantic, Va. and Henry Wessells and wife Linda of Salisbury. She is also survived by a sister, Grace Herman of Atlanta, Ga., and a brother, John Webb and wife Janice of Pocomoke. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Taylor is survived by nine grandchildren, Jennifer J. Pruitt, Elaine J. Sharbor, Rebecca J. Lusk, J.E.B. Johnson, Jill Gray, Steve Green, Sarah Wessells, Ian Bailey and James Bailey. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Harry L. Wessells Jr. and granddaughter Kathleen Joanne Wessells. Mrs. Taylor was a kind and generous woman who enjoyed her family tremendously. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13 at 2 p.m. at the Union United Methodist Church. Services will be officiated be Pastor Derek Tomek. Family and friends may call one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Downing Cemetery in Oak Hall, Va. Contributions may be made to Union United Methodist Church, 1491 Stockton Ave., Greenbackville, Va. 23356.
