Hi, I'm Stephen Shiveley. You can watch me Friday and
Saturday covering your evening weather. I joined the 47 Weather team in
November of 2012. I have had an interest in the weather since a young age, and
decided to follow that interest when I enlisted in the Air Force. For
four years, I was a military weather forecaster, covering the typhoons and
winter weather for Korea and Japan. When my enlistment was completed, I
pursued my meteorology degree at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in
Daytona Beach, Florida. Now that I have graduated, I find myself here on
the Eastern Shore doing what I love - forecasting the weather so you can be
more prepared.
When I am not in the studio I enjoy being outdoors, and like
to try anything new and adventurous. This is my first time living up north, so
I am excited to try all the new winter activities that the Eastern Shore and
the Northeast have in store for me. I have always lived along the coast
though, so the beach is where you will find me on most summer days.
Be sure to check out my page on Facebook and stay in touch.
