GREENBACKVILLE, Va. - Gloria Jean Lawson, 63, of Greenbackville and formerly of Freeland, MD, died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at P.R.M.C. in Salisbury after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born May 5, 1948 in Paragould, AR, to the late Clinton and Virginia Hoots Remagen. Gloria owned and was the president of Keystone Rubber Corporation for over 30 years in Greenbackville, VA. Her family, especially the grandchildren, were always first in her heart. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert "Mike" Michael Lawson; one son, Joseph Michael Lawson of Stewartstown, PA, one daughter-in-law, Robin Lynne Lawson of Greenbackville, VA; two brothers, Charles Remagen of Ofallon, IL and Jack Lee of OR, three sisters, Cheryll Crockerline of KS, Mary Rebecca Baley and Diane Remagen, both of York, PA; one uncle, Walter Newton of Stockton, MO; three grandchildren, Alecia Kling, Rachel Ruth and Bryan Lawson.
A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Sally Dolch, will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00 am, at Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Family and friends may also call Wednesday, April 4, 2012 between 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Pocomoke.
