PRINCESS ANNE, Md., - Outrage over the shooting of Trayvon Martin has made its way to the shore. Dozens rallied at one local University, demanding to see the 17-year-old's alleged killer behind bars.

"It was something that was necessary and we just had to take, go full force and make it happen", says one student.

And University of Maryland Eastern Shore students came out in full force, calling for justice for the Florida Teen.

"We all just decided that lets do it, lets get involved and get the students involved", says another student.

Other UMES students have stated, "Everybody doing their part in pulling together, so UMES had to do their part as well", "We wanted to show everybody that our community cares about the case."

A University administrator says, "This is just one great example of how our students have continued to reach out beyond campus to really get connected in a global society."

With skittles in their hand and hoods over their hands, UMES students stood in the court yard to remember the life of Trayvon Martin, and learn from his tragedy. And as the nation continues to react to the details of the shooting, students from the University chime in on the 17 year old's death.

Seniors of the University state, "Me being a young African American Male, it could have happened to any of us", "Justice is justice and I feel that his death was in vain", "It hurt me inside, because its something that could have been very preventable."
