NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Newark Police have charged a Bear woman in the robbery of a gas station on South College Avenue. Thirty-eight-year-old Stephanie Augustine has been charged with robbery and assault. She was released on $25,250 unsecured bail. Police say about 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Augustine approached the register to purchase an item. When the clerk opened the register, Augustine jumped the counter. The clerk closed the register, but police say Augustine grabbed the clerk and forced him back to the register, saying she had a gun. Officers say Augustine took money and fled.
