Extreme Coupon Workshop

Posted: Updated:

Pittsville, Md. - The Wicomico Public Library hosted an extreme couponing workshop Tuesday evening.

Krista Brooks who led the workshop, has been extreme couponing for over a year and says she's saved over $10,000. She's now hosting workshops all over town to help others save in times of need. She says that it's a full time job and not everyone has the time to be as extreme as she is, but if she can help somebody save money on their grocery bill, it's worth it.

The best piece of advice she had to offer was to "look at weekly specials, see what coupons you have and buy the items when they're on sale. if you have a coupon, you don't just want to go to the store and use the coupon because you have it -you want to wait until that item is on sale and then you use the coupon and you get it for even cheaper," said Brooks.

Krista says that the best place to find coupons are in newspapers - coupons that you find online can be limiting. For more tips and information, you can visit Krista's website at www.kouponmom.com.
