
SALISBURY, Md., - Rommel's Ace Hardware of the Eastern Shore makes a huge donation. They have donated over $1 million of inventory to the regional Habitat for Humanity restores. Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County, is a local non-profit housing ministry. It has partnered with 58 local families to build homes. Habitats ReStores, are resale centers for donated appliances, cabinets, furniture, and building supplies.
Mike Cottingham, President of Rommel Holdings, states "Its representative of the million dollar donation we're making of merchandise to habitat for humanity and we're very hopeful that it benefits a lot of families across the Delmarva Peninsula." He further states that, "We're hoping, this just helps a lot of people who really need the kinds of things we offer."
Habitat's next project is their "Building on Faith" home. Which will be located on Linwood Avenue, in the Church Street neighborhood in Salisbury.
