VIRGINIA - While old man winter spared most of Delmarva - he dumped several inches of the white stuff on Virginia - causing power outages, slippery roads and plenty of accidents.
Morning rush hour turned a number of busy highways into ice skating rinks for cars. State police say they were called to nearly a thousand traffic accidents Sunday and Monday. Black ice caused at least 6 vehicles to slide off one interstate.
While the warm temperatures may be melting the snow in Virginia - a number of residents are still in the dark. Dominion power crews were still scrambling to restore electricity to over 100 customer as of 6:30 p.m. Monday. Almost 8,000 were without power earlier Monday morning.
