Salisbury Woman Sentenced To 45 Years For Child Abuse

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury woman is sentenced to 45 years behind bars on Friday. Joanne Gale was found guilty of two counts of first degree child abuse, which each carries a 20-year sentence., and one count of second degree child abuse which carries a 5 year sentence.

Officials say Gale placed her grandson in scalding hot bath water, to reprimand him for a potty training accident. The boy's mother, Wynita Dale, was also found guilty of child abuse.
