PARSONSBURG, Md. - Phillip Scott Parsons, 30, of Parsonsburg, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his residence. Born October 19, 1981 in Salisbury, he was the beloved son of William Roger Parsons and Lisa Lynn Morgan Parsons. Phillip was a 1999 graduate of Parkside High School and attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church & Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Salisbury. He was a consultant inspector for the Hynes Associates, Hillis & Carnes and State Highway Administration and also did some landscaping. He loved being outdoors and attending automobile racing at Delmar and Dover, but especially loved spending time with his little brother.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Austin Spencer Parsons of Pittsville; grandparents, William Lewis Parsons of Pittsville and Robert L. Morgan & Serena Morgan of Delmar, DE; aunts & uncles, Linda Sue Dorsey & Don of Pittsville, Connie Morgan & her companion, Barb Abbott of Salisbury, Donna Lancaster & Carl of VA; Robert Morgan, II & his companion, Chris Travers of Seaford, DE and Troy Morgan & his companion, Jamie Milllhoff of Ocean Pines; several cousins, Traci, David, Morgan & JT; a companion, Gina Outten; and his beloved pet cat, "jed". He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pauline Rogers Parsons in 2007, whom he cherished very much.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with Rev. Gordon Nock officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be at the Pittsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Wicomico County Humane Society, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, PA, 501 Snow Hill Rd.
