
GEORGETOWN, Del. - Stephanie Lee Marvel, age 49, of Georgetown, died Feb. 11, 2012 as result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on May 2, 1962 she was the daughter of James Lee Marvel and Genevieve Gulyas Marvel. She was a veteran of the US Navy, and a third year student of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She was also a member of the Troupe of the Starry Door, Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. She was an artist, a friend of Bill W., always happy, and had a good life. She was the elder twin.
She is survived by her parents, and her step-mother, Joyce Marvel, and a step-brother: Eric Hall. She is also survived by her siblings: Sandra-Dee A. Henning, and her husband Mark, of Milton; Her twin sister Genevieve Marie Davidson, and her husband Raymond, of Lewes; Nicklous J. Marvel, of Gumboro; and Billy G. Marvel, of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmie Mark Marvel, in 1973. She was the proud aunt of: Stacy Scott; Darrell Dorman; Michael Dorman; Bethany Davidson; Samantha Layton; David T. Henning; Tesa N. Pyle; Katrina Henning and Olivia Henning. She was particularly fond of her niece, Bethany. She also leaves many uncles, aunts, and cousins as well as extended family and friends across the area. Lastly, she leaves her avian friends, "Skit and Mr. Wilson" a cockatoo and love bird.
Two Funeral Services will be held in her honor. For those of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel Community, there will be a viewing and calling hours from 6 PM - 8 PM, Friday Evening, February 17, 2012 with the Troupe of the Starry Door Service conducted by Jim Welch, starting at 8 PM. A traditional service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Tim Wilson will officiate. Viewing and Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. All Services will be at the Watson Funeral Home; 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE. Military Honors will be conferred at the 1:00 PM Service. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to either the Alexandrian Library; 14914 Deer Forest Rd., Georgetown, DE 19947, or to a Charity of your Choice.
