DELMAR, Del. - Betty Jean Twilley, 67, of Delmar, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Golden Gardens in Parsonsburg. Betty was born December 1, 1944 in Salisbury, to the late Edward and Louise Long.

Betty retired from C & P Telephone Company after 30 years of service. She loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, shopping and mostly spending time with her family and friends. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Tina Hurley, for 10 years of special love and care she showed Betty.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, David B. Twilley Sr. of Delmar; children, Joy Geitzel and her husband, Tim; stepchildren, David Twilley, Jr. and his wife, Tracey, Greg Twilley and his wife, Lisa, Jeff Twilley and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Zackery and Charlie Geitzel, Trisha Polidore, Spencer and Cameron Twilley and Ethan and Gwen Twilley; two sisters, Winifred Corbett and her husband, Lee of North City, Maryland, Dorothy Purnell of Salisbury; brothers, Edward Lee Long and his wife, Yvonne of Florida and Charles Long and his wife, Delores of Westover, Maryland and several nieces, nephews and a great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Holloway Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Christopher Martin will officiate. Interment will be at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
