HARBESON, Del. - State police say a 49-year-old Georgetown woman was killed in a two-car collision on U.S. Route 9 west of Harbeson.
Police say Stephanie Marvel's vehicle was struck head-on Saturday night by a car heading eastbound in the westbound lanes. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, 20-year-old Corey Ortwein of Lewes, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in his car was also injured.
The crash remains under investigation. Police say they're not sure why Ortwein was driving the wrong way.
