POCOMOKE CITY, Md. - A Pocomoke woman who was missing for a week back in December - has been arrested for theft.
Police say Carolann Chandler stole over $17,000 from the Pocomoke Little League. She was named Treasurer of the league in the beginning of 2011 and throughout the year reportedly wrote a number of checks to herself from the league, which were endorsed with her signature. Police say she also used withdrawal slips from the account to get cash from the bank.
Chandler admitted to the thefts and is facing a number of charges including 13 Counts of Theft Under $1,000.00, 5 Counts of Theft $1,000 to Under $10,000, and 1 Count of Theft Scheme $10,000 to Under $100,000. She was released after posting $25,000 unsecured bond.
