
Annie Louise RiceSALISBURY, Md. - Annie Louise Rice, 90, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at her residence with her friend and care-giver, Julie Moore at her bedside. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edward Dixon and Annie Bell Howie Dixon. She was a homemaker all of her life, but enjoyed being a Cub Scout Den Mother, Sunday School teacher and an excellent mother.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Dorothy Gay McCoy of Salisbury and Linda Christine Ehrisman & her husband, Richard of Delmar; 4 grandchildren, Michael McCormick, Jennifer Coburn & her husband, Dennis, Kevin McCoy and Adam Ehrisman; 3 great-grandchildren, Robbie Tyler, Kaleigh Coburn & Dean McCoy; 2 sisters, Gay Grove and Peggy Hendren, both of NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Rice, Sr.; a son, Edwin F. Rice, Jr.; and 3 brothers and a sister.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Rev. Janelle Beiler will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 and or the Alzheimers Association, 209C Milford St., Salisbury, MD 21804.
