
Wheeler Fawcett Jr.MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. - Wheeler Fawcett, Jr., 85, of Mardela Springs, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born January 29, 1927 in Bushnell, IL, he was the son of the late Wheeler Foster Fawcett, Sr. and Ruth John Fawcett. He was a US Army and US Air Force veteran. He worked for 34 years with Caterpillar as a tool designer in Peoria, IL, and then also for 10 years at Maryland Wire Belts in Cambridge, retiring in the early 1990's. He loved traveling, vacationing and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 yrs., Louise Marie Bodine Fawcett; children, Marzella, Larry, Victoria, Teresa, Ronald, Sarah, Jane, Glen and Patricia; stepchildren, Ron, Don, Bruce, Jon, Dorothy, David, Barbara, Mary, Joe and Jimmy; siblings, Gladys, George, Mary, Elizabeth, John; and numerous grand & great grandchildren and a special caregiver, Peggy Ritter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Frank & Paul; and siblings, Charles Dave, Wayne and Eugene.
A graveside service will be held in the chapel at the Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock, MD on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 12 noon with Pastor Janice Hatheway officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Holloway Funeral Home on the day of the service. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, PA, 501 Snow Hill Rd.
