BERLIN, Md. - Businesses which thrive on snow, for instance...ski shops and the slopes, are crying tears of frustration right now.
But this mild winter has been a blessing for at least one business here on the shore. The Ocean City Golf Course in Berlin is reportedly seeing double the amount of business this winter because of mild temperatures.
"December we had the cold spell, but January and February was fantastic so far. I mean, there's no snow on the ground!" exclaims golfer, Michael Nardone. "You can play. Look at the temperatures hovering at 50!"
"We see people coming from up North and around and folks that come down from Baltimore," OC Golf Course general manager, Buddy Sass tells WMDT, "because the weather reports are good at their vacation home."
Sass also says this pleasant weather allowed them to get much needed course maintenance done and out of the way before spring.
