EASTON, Md. - Sarah Malinda Robinson, affectionately known as Lynn, was born to the late James and Bertha Robinson on June 29, 1920. She was called to be with the Lord on January 24, 2012 at the age of 92. She grew up in a loving, Christian family. As a child, she first lived with her family on Bloomfield Road located outside of Easton, Maryland. Her grandparents, Milton and Mittie Potter lived approximately one mile away and Malinda later went to live with them until their death. She and her siblings enjoyed spending time together and singing gospel songs for their parents. When she spoke of her childhood and family, her face would radiate love. She was educated in the public schools of Talbot County. After leaving school, she began working and eventually relocated to Florida which was her father's birthplace. When her mother became ill, she returned to Easton and lovingly cared for her mother until her death at the age of 100. Upon her return, Lynn worked for many years until her retirement in 1987. Her co-workers speak of her lovingly and describe her as a kind, compassionate and wonderful person. During her life, Malinda was an active member of Union Baptist Church where she sang on the choir, helped with Sunday school and served as President of the Pulpit Committee and continued to support the church. She was a strong Christian woman and was recently recognized as a Mother of the church. She spoke with high regard of her church family and enjoyed their visits.

Although Malinda did not have any biological children, she was a strong mother figure to all her nieces and nephews. She was also chosen by Miss Raven Gill, of Union Baptist Church, to be her mentor and Malinda thoroughly enjoyed talking with Raven. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Gladys, Helen, James, Mary, Mittie and Dorothy. Her memory is cherished by her surviving brother, Milton and his wife Dorothy of New Brunswick, New Jersey; two adopted sisters , Hilda (Jo Jo) Tilghman and Cecelia Brooks Washington (both of Easton, MD) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Services was held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 1pm at Union Baptist Church 223 Glewwood Ave. Easton, MD with a viewing two hour prior. Interment Richards Memorial Park in Easton, Maryland.
