
KENTON, Del. - An arrest has been made in the Kenton Country Store robbery that occurred Wednesday evening.
Twenty-eight-year-old Brian K. Goodyear Jr. of New Castle, Delaware is being charged with first degree robbery, aggravated menacing and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
Goodyear entered The Country Store at approximately 7:30 PM with a baseball bat in hand. He demanded money from the 62-year-old female employee at the counter who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.
Goodyear fled the scene on foot eastbound on Wheatley's Pond Road. He was spotted by a nearby witness who along with the victim, called police. Troopers responded to the call and were able to track down Goodyear and take him into custody.
Goodyear is being held on $42,500.00 secured bail.
