WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's ChoiceJemie Lee

Hey Delmarva! I'm Jemie Lee, your weekday general assignment reporter and weekend producer. I joined the WMDT news team in January of 2012.

Before coming to Salisbury, I was a sports intern at WJLA-TV ABC 7 in Washington D.C. I was lucky to have covered major sporting events in the D.C. metropolitan area – my most memorable experience would have to be when I interviewed the Jersey Shore's Snooki  at the Washington Auto Show.

In my free time, I like to keep up with the world of sports. I am a lover of all major sports, but I'd have to say that basketball is my first love. Any chance that I get, I flip on the T.V. to catch an exciting NBA game.

I also have a big appreciation for the arts and am particularly drawn to Spanish art. In the summer of 2009, I had the opportunity to travel all over Spain. I was absolutely amazed at the architectural genius of Antoni Gaudi – my favorite building was the gorgeous Casa Batllo in Barcelona.

I graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA with a BS in Liberal Studies, and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I was a sixth grade middle school teacher for three years before deciding to follow my dreams of becoming a reporter.
