Jemie Lee - WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's Choice

Hey, Delmarva! I'm Jemie Lee. I joined the WMDT news team in January of 2012. You can catch me anchoring on Fridays and Saturdays and find me out in the field reporting on weekdays.
Before coming to Salisbury, I was a sports intern at WJLA-TV ABC 7 in Washington D.C. I was lucky to have covered major sporting events in the D.C. metropolitan area. My most memorable experience would have to be meeting the Jersey Shore's Snooki at the Washington Auto Show.

In my free time, I like to keep up with the world of sports. I am a lover of all major sports, but I'd have to say that basketball is my first love. Any chance that I get, I flip on the T.V. to catch an exciting NBA game. I also have a big appreciation for the arts and am particularly drawn to Spanish art. In the summer of 2009, I had the opportunity to travel all over Spain. I was absolutely amazed at the architectural genius of Antoni Gaudi, my favorite building was the gorgeous Casa Batllo in Barcelona.

I graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA with a BS in Liberal Studies, and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I was a sixth grade middle school teacher for three years before deciding to follow my dreams of becoming a reporter. Now that my dreams are coming true, I am so excited to continue my adventures here on Delmarva.
