SALISBURY, Md. - In a special rendition of Meet The Money Givers, WMDT sits down with a U.S. Army Recruiter, who shares with us the wide array of opportunities available to those looking to continue their education.
If you're up for the challenge of an intense mission overseas, or looking to help here on the home front, the Army wants you to join their team.
"We have different missions, and we do different designs. I can't think of anything better than serving your country, earning money, and getting a skill," said Sergeant Kelly Greene.
Sgt. Greene says en-listing is a great opportunity for someone looking to continue their education, whether they're coming out of high school, college or just looking for a career change.
"Generally all the services have an educational package called the Montgomery GI Bill. Generally that can consist of anywhere from $65,000 to $100,000," he said.
There's also part-time enlistment with the reserves. You're only required to go two days a month, and can earn almost $30,000. The options are endless. There are also a number of packages that recruiters at the Army Career Center can set you up with, that will help pay for your education.
