
MILFORD, Del. (AP) - Milford police are asking residents and businesses to enroll in a new phone emergency alert system.
The News Journal of Wilmington, Del., reports the CodeRED system is designed to quickly deliver emergency messages to specific areas of the city (http://tinyurl.com/6urdjun).
Phone numbers can be added to the system's database through the city's website, www.cityofmilford.com , or by calling police at (302) 422-8081.
Residents and businesses will need to provide a name, street address and primary phone number. Milford police spokesman Lt. Edward Huey says additional phone numbers can also be added.
