Driver Crashes Into Walgreens In Hockessin

HOCKESSIN, Del. (AP) - A Walgreens in Hockessin is closed after a driver struck the building.

Delaware State Police say 58-year-old Michele Endrich of Landenberg, Pa., crashed into the store at about 6:15 p.m. Monday. Endrich, who was driving a 2004 Mercedes-Benz SUV, was transported to a hospital with injuries but expected to recover.

A New Castle County building inspector found the Walgreens structurally unsafe after the crash, and it has been closed.
