STOCKTON, Md. - A Virginia man is behind bars after police say he raped a female juvenile.

Authorities say 55-year-old Alvin Fuller, of New Church, VA, was taken into custody on Friday with the assistance of members of the Accomack County Sheriff's Office. He faces charges of rape in the second degree, sex offense in the third degree, assault in the second degree, child abuse in the second degree and incest.

Investigators say Fuller had repeated course of conduct with a relative's 14-year-old daughter over a period of nearly a year. According to authorities, Fuller befriended the juvenile over a lengthy period of time and learned how to manipulate and prey on the victim.

Authorities say, Fuller's arrest closes a joint investigation involving members of the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation and the Worcester County Child Advocacy Center. He is currently being held without bond. Officials say an extradition hearing will be held at a future date.
