MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. - Though the Extreme Makeover Home Edition reveal was pushed back for some last minute touches, excitement was still high in the crowd.
An estimated 1,500 people came out to welcome the Johnson-Goslee family home. The big reveal was filled with cheers, hugs, and tears, Wyzhir Johnson-Goslee dropped to his knees when he saw his families new home.
Attendees said they hope that the community bond built through the project stays around long after the reveal.
"I think paying it forward really obviously pays off, they more you help
somebody else, I think it just betters their life, and they learn to help
other people," says Salisbury University student Lauren Desautels. Desautels volunteered at the site several days throughout the build.
