SALISBURY, Md. - Frances Phillips Quillin, 91, of Salisbury, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Manokin Manor. Frances was born February 28, 1920 in Lewes, DE, to Stanley and Martha Brewington Phillips. Frances, one of the last survivors of Hog Island VA., shared her love of the island she grew up on through her many stories with her friends and families. The family would like to thank the staff of Manokin Manor for their care of Frances during her illness.

In addition to her parents Frances is preceded in death by her husband, John Wellman Quillin, and a daughter, Ellen Dykes. She is survived by her daughter Faye Quillin Nunez and her companion Robert Jones, of Princess Anne; son Philip D Quillin and his wife Sybil of Virginia beach, VA.; four grandsons William Dykes and his wife Coralee, Brian Dykes, Philip Quillin and his wife Vivian, John Quillin and his wife Regina; two granddaughters Mary Beth Watson, and Suzanne Newton and husband Ricky; 22 great-grand children and 3 great-great-grand children.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2011 at Holloway Funeral Home, with a burial at Shad Point Cemetery in Salisbury. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
