WMDT 47 NEWS - Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming to Wicomico County! The Fusion Companies, the builder chosen for the project, made the announcement early Friday. Ty Pennington and the crew will surprise one Wicomico County family on September 28 with the big "door knock." Officials won't narrow down the location before the "door knock," but the builders promise it's for a very deserving family.

Fusion Companies President Wes Sims says they specialize in green building. He says, "this build's going to be a little bit of a hybrid, it incorporates a lot of what we view as kind of corner stones of our modular philosophy, in terms of efficient design . . . Think about modules in terms of legos and being able to connect them and achieve incredible interior efficiency in terms of design as well as energy efficiency, in terms of how compact you can keep a structure."

The Fusion Companies are searching for anyone willing to donate roof trusses to be used during the build. Click here if you can help or if you'd like more information on how to volunteer for the project.
