WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's ChoiceAshley James

     Hi Delmarva! My name is Ashley James and I co-anchor the 6, 10 and 11PM newscasts.  I joined the news team in June 2010.  I took over hosting Good Things Delmarva in 2011.

     I'm a born and raised Delaware girl.  I graduated from the University of Delaware and received my Masters Degree from Wilmington University.   After graduating I moved to the New York City to work for the Fox News Channel.  There I started as a production assistant and moved up as an overnight coordinator.  At Fox I had the opportunity to cover red carpet events, press junkets, and movie screenings.  My favorite interview has to be George Clooney because I thought he fell in love with me... Then I realized that's how he talks to everyone!  

     I'm definitely a beach girl at heart. I've spent most of my summers at our house in Fenwick, so I could not be happier to be here on the Eastern Shore reporting.   In my free time I love staying active. I just did my first triathlon in June and ran a half marathon this past April. Just don't ask me my times!  I love traveling and spending time with family and friends.  My guilty pleasure has to be the real housewives shows.
