UPDATE: Salisbury Police ID victim in fatal hit and run, still searching for unknown white vehicle

SALISBURY, Md. - Update 12:10 PM: Salisbury Police continue to search for the driver of an unknown white vehicle that fatally struck a pedestrian early Friday morning on Naylor Mill Road near Northgate Drive.

Police have identified the victim as 44-year-old Katina Rone Ballard of Salisbury.

Original post: Police are investigating a deadly hit and run in Salisbury that happened early Friday morning off of Naylor Mill Road and Northgate Drive.

At around 2 AM, police say officers responded to the scene where they found a victim who was pronounced dead.

As of 7:30 AM, officials were still reported on the scene. Police are hoping to identify the body in order to inform the next of kin.

No suspect has been found yet.

Police have re-opened Naylor Mill Road and Northgate Drive.
