SALISBURY, Md. - Three men were arrested, after authorities say that they found a gun, marijuana, and other items during a traffic stop, in Salisbury.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says that Community Action team stopped a vehicle in the area of East Main Street and N. Park Drive, on Monday. According to the report, probable cause led to a search of the vehicle, where deputies found a semi-automatic handgun loaded with 11 rounds. Deputies say the serial number on the gun was destroyed. Authorities say they also found marijuana, scales, and bags near the gun.
According to officials, the driver, 22-year-old Kaevon Cutler, and the passengers, 17-year-old Nicholas Garnett, and 16-year-old Joshua Wootten, all of Princess Anne, were arrested, and charged with possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a regulated firearm by a prohibited person, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, and illegal possession of ammunition.
Cutler, Garnett, and Wootten were later turned over to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
