PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - A victim was identified, after troopers say the Maryland man died as a result of a crash on Wednesday morning, in Princess Anne.
Maryland State Police say on Wednesday, 18-year-old Michael Anthony Carter Jr., of Gywnn Oak, MD, was identified as the victim in the single-vehicle accident that happened on Route 13 north, just north of Loretto Road.
Troopers say Carter was driving a 2006 Toyota Camry which struck a guard rail and went off the roadway into a ditch.
Authorities say Carter was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Speed, impairment or weather do not seem to be factors in this crash.
MSP continues to investigate this crash.

Maryland State Police say on Wednesday, at 7:50 AM, a crash was reported at Route 13 and Loretto Road. Troopers say this was a single vehicle accident.
According to law enforcement, the vehicle hit a guardrail and went into a ditch off the right shoulder. Authorities say a man was killed as a result of the crash.
The identity of the victim is not being released until his next of kin is notified.
The roadway was closed for 30 minutes for this incident. This crash remains under investigation.
Later Wednesday morning, another crash apparently happened in the left northbound lane of Route 13 which involved a car and a pick up truck.
