Former Crisfield mayor, Maryland delegate Charles McClenahan passes away

CRISFIELD, Md. - Former Crisfield mayor and member of the Maryland House of Delegates Charles "Charlie Mac" McClenahan has passed away, the City of Crisfield announced Friday morning.

McClenahan, who was 76-years-old, served as mayor of Crisfield from 1978 to 1982 and as a Maryland delegate representing District 38 from 1992 until 2003.

McClenahan was also the founder of Landmark Insurance and Financial Group in 1979, based in Princess Anne.

"Last night our Charlie Mac passed away," a post on the Landmark Insurance and Financial Group Facebook page read Friday morning. "Please join us in offering our condolences and prayers for his family, Annette, Ryan and Heather. Your Landmark family grieves with you."
