Thursday will mark the 23rd annual Drive-Thru Flu Clinic held by the Peninsula Regional Medical Center at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

The clinic, held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., is open to everyone 13 and older, but 13-17-year olds will need a parent present, and PRMC is asking for a $10 donation.

Flu vaccines are encouraged for anyone 65 and older or people with heart or lung disorders or diabetes.

The medical center does ask that if you attend you wear short sleeves, adding even if you arrive at the busiest time of the day you will be in and out in ten minutes.

"This is huge, this is our biggest community event that we do every year in that twelve hour period that we're there we will vaccinate between 3,000 and 4,000 people.  So we see a lot of people during the one day event.  It's important for everyone to get a flu shot because it's the best prevention against the flu," said Roger Follebout, Jr., PRMC Community Relations Director.
