SALISBURY, Md. - Deputies say that a Blades woman was arrested on drug charges in Salisbury on Tuesday night.
At 11:06 p.m., a deputy stopped a woman walking away from an area where the Sheriff's Office had just received a complaint. During the encounter, 23-year-old Amanda Travis of Blades, reportedly gave a deputy different identities while seeming nervous.
Officials say that after the deputy saw indications of drug use, and heard Travis's answers, the deputy began to ask more about what she was doing.
At this point, Travis reportedly tried to run away from the deputy who was able to catch her after a short chase.
Officials say that Travis was found to have heroin, syringes and a spoon.
Travis was arrested and taken to the Central Booking Unit where she was taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following a first appearance, the Commissioner released Travis on personal recognizance.
