MILLSBORO, Del. - Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a Delaware man, after they say he stabbed another passenger in a vehicle, in Millsboro.
Delaware State Police say on Wednesday, 47-year-old Lavocia Callahan, of Wilmington, was identified as the suspect responsible for a stabbing that happened on January 24, in Millsboro.
According the report, troopers were dispatched to the intersection of Townsend Road and Harmony Cemetery Road, where a 38-year-old Milford man was sitting on the side of the roadway with stab wounds to his extremities.
Authorities report that the victim was a passenger in a vehicle, where he engaged in a verbal argument with another passenger. The argument reportedly escalated at which point the driver stopped at the intersection of Townsend Road and Harmony Cemetery Road. Troopers say while still seated in the vehicle, the passenger suspect then stabbed the victim.
The victim was apparently able to exit the vehicle prior to the suspect fleeing the scene. The 38-year-old victim was removed from the scene and treated at a local hospital.
DSP says warrants have been obtained for Callahan's arrest including charges of assault first degree, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, and terroristic threatening.
