SEAFORD, Del. - Six men are facing prostitution charges, after police say they were arrested in an undercover operation, in Sussex County.
The Seaford Police Department says on Tuesday, they assisted the Dover Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security (Homeland Security Investigations Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in executing an undercover prostitution operation, in Seaford. Police say six men were arrested and illegal drugs were seized along with a handgun.
According to the report, the following men were charged with patronizing a prostitute:
Jacob Brown, 22, of Pittsville, MD; Kenneth Jones, 47, of Seaford, DE; Richard Bergstrazer, 47, of Seaford, DE; Bruce Harmon, 52, Bridgeville, DE; Michael Rifenburg, 51, of Seaford, DE; and Keith Layton Jr., 36, Milford, DE.
Brown was also apparently charged with possession of marijuana (10 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers say Layton was also charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and/or ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a controlled substance .8 grams of methamphetamine, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say Jones, Bergstrazer, Harmon, and Rifenburg were later released on a $500 unsecured bond. Brown was later released on a $1,100 unsecured bond. Layton was apparently released on a $21,000 unsecured bond.
