UPDATE: Missing teens found in Bethany Beach

BETHANY BEACH, Del. - Police say that they are happy to report that after an extensive investigation, two missing teens in Bethany Beach have been found on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Bethany Beach Police Department, Jordyn Cannon and Taylor Miller have been located and returned safely to their guardians as of noon on Thursday.

Police say that they would like to thank everyone who contacted and reached out to help with the recovery of the young girls.


Police say that two teenage girls are missing from Bethany Beach on Thursday morning.

According to Bethany Beach Police, Jordyn Cannon of Ocean View and Taylor Miller of Frankford, separated from their guardian on Wednesday night around 9:00 p.m.

Jordyn and Taylor were reportedly following their guardian on bicycles to their home in Ocean View when it is believed that they turned around and went back to the beach.

The Bethany Beach Police Department was contacted around 10:00 p.m and searched for the girls throughout the night. Officers reportedly found the girls' bicycles in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Garfield Parkway hidden next to some buildings.

A DART "Beach Bus" bus stop is near the location where the bicycles were found and Jordyn and Taylor may have taken the bus to any of the nearby beaches. Cannon was last seen wearing a black two piece bathing suit and is 5'2" 115 lbs.  with long auburn hair.

Taylor Miller was last seen wearing gray shorts and a purple bathing suit top and is 5'4" 150 lbs with brown eyes and medium length dark brown hair.  Bethany Beach Police with help from surrounding departments searched throughout the night and are continuing to search on Thursday morning.
