GREENWOOD, Del. - Police say that they are searching for the suspect in connection with a bank robbery that happened in Greenwood, on Wednesday.
The Greenwood Police Department says that, just before 6:00 PM, a man came into the Discover Bank, on Market Street, with a white cloth over his face, and demanded money from a bank teller. According to the report, after getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect exited the bank, running westbound, where he got into a gray Chevrolet Impala that was parked at a nearby business. Authorities say that the car was seen traveling southbound from the area of Sussex Highway and Market Street, and then turning back northbound on Sussex Highway. Officials described the car as a four door vehicle without tags.
According to police, the suspect is described as a white male aging in the range of 20 to 30 years of age, standing 5'06" to 6' 0" tall, weighing 130-160lbs. He was reportedly last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray sweat pants, black shoes, white gloves with red finger tips, black ball hat with his face covered by a white cloth.
